Before I take anything to get the finger dirt off the trackpad and keyboard, i'd just like to know what you guys use/recommend?

Ag, just chuck water and handy andy on the whole lot... preferrably turn it back on before it dries (the heat helps to dry it quicker).

:D:p

I use Handy Andy and fine tissue (No Water) to clean the trackpad and palm-rest of my Macbook and then use the supplied cloth to clean the screen ;p

It seems tho that on the Macbook there is always a bit of "wear and tear" on the Trackpad Button (The only thing I cant clean properly)

Don't think that stuff is available locally - so pretty useless to me.. :(
Next time I get a batch I'll send you a block - my little one went crazy with a pen on the walls so I had to use most of my current supply removing that. :(

I'll take you up on that, my MB could do with a good cleaning even though I wash my hands before using it :)

PnP sells a micro fibre cloth, they come in 2 forms. One is a 'rough' version and one is a 'very fine' one, the fine one says dust cloth on the package as it's main function, but if you look at the back of the package you'll see it can be used for other cleaning purposes.

I use the fine one... rinse it with water, dry it best you can....power down your mb/mbp and wipe clean. If you dried the cloth you should have zero water dripping from it and it works a charm!

I prefer not to use any cleaning liquids, not even handy andy. Damp cloth I mentioned picks up dirt very easy and its soft as well, so it's about the best thing. When its dry its almost suede like, which works equally well to wipe off dust. Which is why I keep mine in my laptop bag :)

I use the supplied microfiber cloth(I imported my macbook, it came with it), a spray bottle filled with water and drop of anti-bacterial spirits, does a fine job.. just cleaned my macbook now BTW after doing a reformat.

(The macbook manual has cleaning instructions which I follow)
