Had a "friend" send me a massive site with a shopping mall, parking lots, medical facility and office block on it. Said he doesn't have the money now but will look for investors. Can I please drawn it up for him.

Thought it only happens to IT folks...

Nope. Engineer by qualification. I have toyed with some of the quant stuff but found I did not really enjoy it much so mostly I have stuck to the technical stuff while obviously picking up a lot of knowledge about the various traded financial products on the way.

Engineering Manager. Sometimes (20%) the work is interesting, ie complex projects that we decide to tender on. The people management aspect (60%) is a bit frustrating at times and the balance is your average run of the mill day.
 
Consultant on a bit of a lot. Cloud and other IT stuffs, nothing developer or coding related though.

Nope don't enjoy it. But then again I doubt there's a job in the world I would enjoy. I don't understand the concept of enjoying work, fun/work is contradiction and fear of failure is never a good feeling. And you only get paid well for doing what others aren't prepared/capable/bothered to do, which means you have to embrace the suckiness to excel.
