What do you need to use VOIP?

Soz I'm new to Voip but was thinking about it, is it really worth it?

After you have all the above. You need a good soft switch, a good ATA and then you can phone the world at reasonable rates!!

You will not find a free option to phone PSTN lines. Check www.voipbuster.com or www.voipcheap.co.uk. Here you can make free PSTN calls to a few countries around the world (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece,
Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States). Unfortunately nobody offers free calls to SA yet.


Seems like the quality is ok according to posts in other forums, but you will need a decent broadband connection.
