Airing out here to spread awareness about this VOIP service provider. I signed up with this company in 2020 as a VOIP solution for my small business and have only had problems with them. First off, their standard VOIP device was being RENTED out to me at R1k pm, for which I still had to pay an additional amount to insure at my own cost. When I looked up this device on the internet, it was being SOLD for R1k direct to customer! 🤦‍♀️Despite this, I had to stick with them for 5 years, as they had me locked down by contract, despite being far more expensive than Telkom or Vodacom, who also offer month to month and year to year contracts.

Now at the end of my 5 years, I gave them a 1 month notice to cancel my contract, and have been told that I needed to give them 90 days notice, with my contract already renewed for another couple of years! Additionally, I need to pay a full year's worth of their services to end the contract.

Please stay away from this company! 🙅‍♀️ They have scummy business practices with no intention of actually helping the customer. You will not find them on Google pages or Facebook, because they want to avoid negative reviews. I am putting this up here for anyone wanting to find actual reviews about this so called business.

The company I work for has been in business for over 20 years, and we don’t do contracts. What I’m curious about is that you now cite all this information available on the internet and compare prices, yet why didn’t you do that before signing the contract?

We come across so many businesses like this, and it often makes me wonder, how do people sign these contracts when all the information is readily available? Often, when we engage with a new client, they treat us with skepticism because what we offer sounds too good to be true. Yet, these same businesses go and sign five-year contracts when we live in an era of services where contracts are unnecessary, and pricing can be quickly looked up online.

I sympathize with you, but you were free to choose, and you chose them. As long as they upheld their end of the agreement and their terms were clearly articulated, there is no real problem here. You had the right to choose whether to work with them or not.

Actually, they had a 1 month free trial that I signed up for in March 2020. Having done some research during the lockdown, I requested cancellation of services in April 2020. With the whole nation going in COVID lockdown, I was admittedly a few days late, yet I figured that a global pandemic shutting all business down would provide some leniency. Alas no. I was stuck with a contract and paying for a device and service that I was not able to use for a couple of months.

Your company sounds like the one I should have signed up with :crying:

Check if they have the proper ECN licenses if not then I would tell them to stick their contract as they are illegal...
