my nets been down for the past 3 weeks so i finally got it fixed now or actualy last week wensday so ive played this patch for about a week now, and i have to admit blizz really wants to chase away all their players, like it was easy enough to gear up since wotlk now they bring in raid finder, and the raids are just a joke now cleared deathwing last week on 3rd attempt, already doing heroics. and im not even a hardcore player, my guild raids 3 times a week from 8-11pm
good thing swtor and GW2, and diablo 3 is coming out soon :P

what do you think about the new patch?

I personally like it, and here is why: I used to be a harcore raider earlier years, however once you move from being a student to daily work life ect, you realize your time available to games shrink more and more, and you have less time to play games, even worse, having set times to raid!

So, now I get to see the game with minimal effort, at my own time of my choosing I can jump into a LFR and see the content. Why should it be exclusive to people who have no life? If you ask me, this patch is brilliant, but don't get me wrong, I understand where you coming from and why you feel the way you do, however try to see it from my perspective as well.

See in previous games, you could see the story yourself, yes it would take you longer ect, BUT you didn't need to schedule your life around raiding times!

Now I will admit, the new 5man heroics was really super easy, and the raids are easy too, but its good to not have to waste 3 nights on wiping, its actually fun to see the videos and then along the way get some gear that looks cool, even if its not as good as the normal/heroic variant's gear, I will leave that up to you fellas that think you need to show you are superior to the casuals.

So a thumbs up from me.

I've retired before the patch, but I still like to keep a bit in touch and by the sound of things it seems super easy, BUT I actually do believe normal modes should be super easy and thus that just about everyone should be able to see all the normal mode content without a crazy amount of effort, thou 8/8 in LFR within 3 days seems a bit to much thou...

The real test of how the content should be in 25 man Heroic modes, where it should step up in difficulty with each boss and just about all serious guilds being able to do at least 7/8 by the time the content ends and the hardcore ones 8/8

LFR is F#ing Awsome..........

I'm a long toothed (oldish) wow casual player and not being able to get into raids due to family commitments and time constraints inhibits me from seeing end-game content.

With the advent of LFR I can and at my pace which is great. I know for some of the more regular players and hard-core raiders this might be a let down saying it is too easy but for casual players 4.3 (LFR Specifically) has been the best wow patch ever.

Now I am holding thumbs the LFR will be extended to some of the older content i.e. ICC and other raid instances.

My 2 cents...

I love lfr, i get to see the content when I want to. Being on the US servers I would normally have to wake up at 4am to run a raid with guild.

lol @ this forum. it seems when I dont post it just dies :p on a serious note, I stopped playing 3 weeks ago to the day, and decided to have a looksee what people are saying about the new patch. quite obviously not very much at all. is that good, is that bad? why is this forum so quiet?

is that good, is that bad?

Hmm let me try summarize;

Top raiding guilds got banned for 3-8days for exploiting the LFR, transmog is an amusing tool, darkmoon faire island is fun for the first day, new heroics (ICC heroics 2.0) are ridiculously easy for 378 gear and on normal mode the Dragon Soul raid is a walk in the park (10man anyway)

Oh and gem prices are freaking insane

LFR is kick ass for casual players, hard core raiders are QQ'ing 24/7 still a lot of fun for some-one like me that plays the game for loads of fun and entertainment :)

hmm the heroics were to easy but a great story line. So doing them once or twice is enough.

LFR was fun the first week seeing the content so quickly. It's ridiculously easy you can basically ignore 90% of the boss mechanics and win. For example the 3rd boss kill a colour! which one no matter just pick one anyone, and if you dont ..dont worry the healers half of which are afk or asleep might have something to do.

Some of the loot mechanics still suck as its not fool proof. Tanks rolling for healing gear DPS rolling for tank gear and so on..... Raid chat language has degenerated to, I felt my brain cells dying last night and was relieved to finish I won't be back Blizz can keep its LFR gear should be green gear anyway.

In summary done now, so what's next oh new arena season at least that will last till I have a full gear set and at least healers die now.

And yes I transmoged my Gorehowl axe from Kara awesome!

Blizz have hotfixed this, only certain classes can roll on certain items now (ie strength can't roll on agi, caster dps can't roll on spirit)

Still not fool proof last night pally tank rolled for pally healing gear, DPS warrior rolling for tank gear both won. In my opionion it should be role specific as well, tired of useless lazy arsed DPS warriors and DK's rolling on tank gear but then they have been doing it for 5 years now.

I feel they must also make it that you can only loot 1 item per boss. It iritate me when one person wone all the caster dps gear. Once had one toon won 3 items from one boss.

But overall I can finally enjoy some of the raid content, due to me working shifts, guilds don't like it me not able to run every 3rd week.

Patch 4.3: +1 to Blizzard
I think it is a move in the right direction. The game is getting more casual, and most likely 90% of the community approves of the patch. Only the few hardcore raiders will believe that their piece of exclusivity have been taken away from them.
At least most people will enter the next expansion with 378 gear now, and if Blizzard still intends to have an expansion every year, the next should not be far off?

Quite enjoying 4.3.

Transmorg is awesome and the new dungeons are fun for the first few runs.

Haven't used LFR yet as I am in a raiding guild so when I have time to raid, I'm raiding with the guild :p

I like patch content, however, I think it's silly that you get epic quality rewards for completing 5 man dungeon quests, even if they are "heroic" mode. They should be blues. The stats can be the same, but it's not like they are hard to get. But I guess some people might get a bit stressed that their FL normal epics are the same as the new blues :)

Well, you have to be a certain ilvl to do those heroic dungeons so it's not like any Tom, Dick and Harry that just dinged 85 will be in it.

I'm glad they do this. makes it a little bit easier to gear for raids as most guild do not raid older raids when newer ones have been released (BoT vs DS for eg.)

LFR = Random HC in difficulty level, but with 20 more players. Normal 10-man is also a joke. Free gear for everyone! :D not for me, though - haven't won a single damn item yet on any of my 85's -.-

I already have 3 alts which have cleared all 3 heroics. 2 of them have done the full LFR.

I don't have a problem with stats or even the item level. It's that item colour indicates how rare the items are. These items are not epic. They are rare. They should be blue item level 378.

Epic items should only drop from raids and very rarely as a world drop.

Casual players can get epic quality items in LFR

The 3 new heroics needs ilvl 353, and the Looking For Raid 378.

How long did it take me to get into the 3 new heroics after dinging my rogue 85? About 2 hours. I was doing a bunch of Alterac Valleys, bought some 390 PeeVeePee ilvl items and bam my ilvl shot up. I am now 2 points away from going into LFR, abusing this system to the T. At least I do mostly more DPS than people with the same ilvl gear as me.

Three of my toons are under 378, and have cleared LFR.
