What do you think?

Ive been rushing to ding, my guild has a cut off period which ppl will be kicked if they arent 80 by the end of this week.
I dont agree with this, however just because im rushing doesnt mean im not having fun.

Off topic, ajzal nernoob or whatever the name is and the old kingdom are sooo fun! :D

I am only a lvl 71 not rushing at all. I think the guys who rush really wasted their money because by rushing u miss certain things like the awesome scenary which is wow. I hav been playing wow for almost 3 years now and yes did get bored with BG's (if ur alliance) and losing taking forever to get good gear but the expansion really made it way more exciting. Blizz u have my thumbs up for this expansion.

it depends what you mean by rushing. I want to get to level 80 as soon as possible, because thats when the raiding starts, but im not going to solo xp grind my way there. SInce Thursday, I have done Utgarde Keep twice, Nexus once, that instance in Dragonblight whose name i cant remember, and im 50% through lvl 72. I have death knight on lvl 58. Whenever someone asks in guild chat for dps for an isntance, i say "Aye". I dont really care which instance, or whether i have all the quests or not. Log to my DK, when i get gatvol of Boring Tundra :). I reckon i might be level 80 in 2 weeks. maybe 3. My main is warlock with a mix of Kara, SSC, MH and badge gear, so i nuke my through the mobs at a rate which doesnt stress me too much.

pre WOTL I had:

Paladin (rushed to 70),
Priest (rushed to 70),
Druid (40 and not skipping a thing),
Rogue (39 pvp project)

Now I have 70 Paladin, 70 Priest, 40 Druid, 39 Rogue, 58 DK

Tried the DK out - completed the starting area and that was that. Can't say I really like this class. My current main (getting all my attention) is my paladin, mostly geared in Merciless/vindicator. I have been running around Azeroth completing quest I never did and ones I completely missed. I am soloing instances I never got around to doing, etc. Have already explored Azeroth and Outland 100%. I have not set foot in Northrend and not bother in the least.

I will maybe go pay it a visit this weekend only, since I also plan to grind some TBC faction reps first. Actually I have no idea why I bought the expansion already :P

Not getting dragged along with the hype and loving it! I am even planning to go back and collect every set of tier gear I can get my hands on.

One thing I hated about some quest areas in TBC was the over population, when you have to gather low drop rate items from mobs which 10+ other players are trying to kill as well. It is rather anoying when you spend 2 hours on a quest just because of competion like this.

Let the masses go I say - I will hobble along at my own merry pace and enjoy the game.

Wow, different strokes must be really different. I'm loving my DK. Went on a mad grind last night 870k xp in 5hours :D:eek::p 4 levels till Northrend. Then i'll slow down ;)

Hells bells, finally someone's getting the picture!

So what if you get to 80 and kill the end boss... "yay im leet ... now what?". Have people already forgotten how stale BC became ?

When I started my 1st char in May I went up to lvl 30 before I started questing properly. The rest of the time I would run around exploring all different places. That's the same feeling I want to get from wotlk, since in BC it was all one big rush to get to 70.

I'm enjoying my dwarf DK and I think I'll take him through outlands as well for a bit - seeing that my pally is only level 17.

I haven't seen one l Gnome DK. I wonder why

Think I'll make a Gnome DK on my realm where my Warrior is :D

Joy-energiser do yourself a favour and post a comment of the slightest value, thats trade channel crap.

Thiartc fair enough I still feel a sliding scale of difficulty would have be a bit more appropriate, so that all players eventually find there challenge level, instead of all potentially charging to the door of end game in a month

My comment was of no value ? I'm sorry but increasing the difficulty level like you suggest just caters for the VERY low % of people who spend far to much time in this game, increasing the gap between casuals and hardcore players exponentially and as far as the rest of us are concerned, what we DON'T need is a bigger time sink than this game already is.

I mean dammit guy, don't you have other things to do except play WoW ?

Lol i wanna get to 80, but like doing it properly doing bt starting area now on HF and dragonblight, been to icecrown try getting there without a flyer. Go through Sholazar Basin and up Avalanche.

Nah there are a few in our guild. The one dude even made a female gnome Death Knight named "Schnookums".

I like witty names. Like a Tauren called Moofasa on our server, or an undead rogue called "hugme". I always /hug him and he always /hug's me back. I feel so loved.

I wonder if Voicious is a suitable name for my DK dwarf. Durin , Thorin, Odin, Uldar, Beren, Huan, Fingolfen, Feonor and all the other legendary names from The Silmarillion was already used. Not to mention "Dave", "marvin" and "Fred" also being occupied :/

I rushed Outland to get to Northrend and while I am intent on leveling as fast as I can I'm really enjoying taking a look at Northrend.
I love the look of all the zones I've been in so far and the quests are great.
The rewards are not the huge jump of BC but thats to be expected.
Also the new crafting seems a lot better. As a BS I can actually make greens that are great for tanking with.
My DK is just finishing up in Borean and then I'll head over to Dragonblight and quest a bit more.

Having just moved over to EU from US, had a mad rush to get to 70 in time for the expansion. The Recruit-A-Friend thing really helped in that regard thank goodness.

However, with Wrath now, I'm enjoying the areas, quests, etc. First went into Borean Tundra, completed everything (got the tshirt... I mean, achievement), was sitting at about level 72.5.

Have now moved to Fjord and systematically completing everything, really enjoying the quests here! Have about 20 quests to complete (for the achievement) and sitting at about 73.75.

Playing it slow is really helping me enjoy it that much more!

On the forum tangent, I struggled to think of a good name for my Tauren Death Knight, but eventually settled on Contamoonate, I thought that was pretty witty. I had reserved a name for my Gnome Death Knight on US as Pathognomic (from the word Pathogenic) if anyone is struggling for a name.

I am going to try to take it slowly when I begin playing the expansion. I don't want to be in the position again where I was in TBC (4xlv 70s and several mid lv 60s).

However, I know that when I start I go mad and rush to finish ... the competitor in me I suppose.

lols...I created a new DK last night for the hell of it since I wanted to use a name my bro came up with. Male Orc - Gatiep ^^

The Worst Quest Ever - North Howling Fjord - where you have to swim and open the plants and then you get either the fish you have to kill for the quest item, crabs or divers, you only need to collect 7 fish - it took 30 mins, the "drop rate" for the fish is about one in 15 and cause you have to swim it even takes longer, i will never ever do that quest again!!

My plan: Get main to 80 fast (not going very fast atm tho ...), Then lvl my DK by exploring all the new content.

Woot - still have about 15 nagrand cherries left :p

Once I get to this quest I will be chewing a few I guess...:D

I am loving Howling Fjord. The zone is huge and has different atmospheres within it. The quests there were spaced out really nicely and they were actually fun / interesting. In BC, halfway through a zone I would abandon the quests for that zone and move to the next because I was completely bored. I have finished all the quests I could find in HF up to the quest which you can get from the murloc. Even that was touching. :D

I have completed the Nexus and UK and they are outstanding. The music and atmosphere really impressed me. The boss fights were fun and easy and paced correctly.

I am also happy with how many flight paths there are in a single zone. Less travelling time is always a winner.

I am just not happy with how little gold you make from a quest. I still have to get my epic flyer :(
