What do you use when bathing and thereafter

Although I think that's a big reason so many people have dandruff / dry scalp from blasting their head with kak hot water - especially in winter.

They have dandruff/dry scalp from using shampoo.

Take that away and you can use all the hot water you want.

You cannot get clean in a bath; fight me.

So sure you can use it to relax but if you don’t shower after you are still filthy.

I’ve gravitated away from soap soap and these days use the more cream or oil-based stuff from Nivea the only negative being you tend to use a bit more.

Give me anything with a fragrance made from edible stuff and I’m a happy camper.

Tend to use those ball sponges made of the netting as I just find they last longer due to rinsing better and not retaining the soap. I cannot use washcloths, they just don’t make sense to me.

As said above haven’t washed my hair in a great many years using shampoo and it solved any possible hair problem I had. To the poor women stop and ask me what my hair routine is because at 40+ all of it is still very much there and very healthy.

Outside of this I sort of rotate between Dove, Nivea Face Scrub and Nivea Face Wash and occasionally use a beard wash but more because it was a gift that seemingly lasts forever than I feel I need it.

End off every shower turning it to full cold and rinsing my whole body.

Fragrance wise most of that stuff gives me extreme allergies so it’s only when I’m doing something special I use any kind of fragrance and then I spray it on my wrists to keep it away from my nose.

Deodorant wise just Nivea/Sanex roll on in the morning and that’s that. I used to be a Mitchum guy but that stuff seems to have gotten weak.

For freshness; use it for whole body not just hands

For invigoration just rinse off under a cold shower

I mean this stuff is legendary.

This and the other pink gel one I don’t remember the name of.

I'm sure that's the case for loads of people but I've just noticed a correlation between me cranking the hot water in winter and my scalp / skin getting dryer & flaky. Keep the water temp down and I don't get that.

Yep. I started losing hair cos of overly-hot chlorinated water over the years, according to the dermatologist. It stopped when I dropped the temps luckily.

How hot are we talking here?

Like burning your head hot? Because then I also have to question why would anyone do that?

It is after all skin that is very sensitive and never gets exposure to the sun etc.

Their biggest curse is the amount of product they use imo.

Yeah, like slightly scalding the skin hot. I used to live in Sandton then and winter was a bitch, coming from Durban.

Just regular heat, nothing excessive. Steam up the bathroom kind of heat. It's probably also the increased shower duration, especially after a run etc. standing under that heat for a few minutes longer. If I keep the water cool enough that there's a slight cool tint to the water things are fine.

There is only one, well actually there is only two...

For says when i gym. This stuff takes care of everything.
