What do you use your ipad / tablet for?

My friends leaves it in the lounge if bored or for guests etc... I wish I had one :(

I'm also finding it difficult to justify it to myself: already own a touchscreen phone (and an iPod touch I hardly use) and I use that when I don't want to have the furnace on my lap. If FNB didn't have their promotion, don't think I would've handed over R4,800 for one (assuming you could buy it at that price locally) so don't think I would pay R200 x 24. But you never know.

The best replacement for a laptop when I'm just chilling in the lounge or in bed...movies, music and now ebooks as well...I thought the no flash thing would bother me but I got over it quickly :)

Guys, is here an app for watching videos on my iPad that are on my PC ?

That is link my pc and tablet so that I don't have to add and delete videos after I have watched them...iPad is only 16gb and Avatar is 35GB!

Skype mostly. The camera and sound are excellent. There is a slight lag with the sound. Then there are a lot of free iPad2 Apps (Google 50 best free iPad apps) and have a look especially at Tech Radar. Then there are news magazines, dstv guide, Dragon Dictate (free if you have a US address), speed test, CNN. When you upgrade it to iOS 5, you can use the iCloud service too

Air video is another. It also will convert video to an iPad compatible format which is handy.

I got an iPad 2 yesterday (after much humming and ha'ing about which way to go with a tab) and loaded Air Video after reading some recommendations on here. Absolutely fanfrikintastic app, well worth 3 dollars. I tried it on my home network and also on my S2's wi-fi hotspot and it works like a dream. Can't recommend it enough.

Comicshelf HD on my TouchPad - not bad! Although I think my next tablet should be a widescreen one - comics and movies should fit better!

Then the usual browsing, skype, apps, games, etc, etc...
