Trust me in this rare occasion they did you a favor by stopping you from joining themI couldn't even open a new contract with them, so in my opinion they donothing well.
I attempted to open a new contract last month through Phonefindrer and directly through MTN unsuccessfully because I wanted to port my number.
Don't send spam SMSes with every recharge.
I do not want to be asked to send a virtual business card every time I make a call.
and single was shyte.
EmptyN customer here...
They do the OOB shark well.
They do the "not getting back to your query" very well.
When it's queried again on multiple platforms, they still don't get back to you - this they do very very well.
They do the "we don't care extremely well"
Up yours EmptyN
Damn right about the annoying SMSs when you buy a data bundle. Stop it. And since my tablet SIM is for data only, how the hell did the spammers get hold of my number? Stop selling these. Also, data bundles should not expire - it's money in the bank today. If I want to pay for 5Gb I should be able to and use it up in my good time.
Inflexible 24 month contract.
Got a nice phone with it. When I took it out, I was very unsure of what would work for me, since I don't really make cell calls until a crisis event happens. Got upsold to a MyMTN"Choice"50 with 300Mb data p/m. Six months in I realise I really need 2-3 times more data and only 20sms/15 minutes voice calls. They've now changed all sorts of things , like more restrictive rollovers and a mere 75MB "free" data.
And now I cannot alter the contract according to MTN, but I'm welcome to buy 300Mb more data for an extra R85 - what a disappointment. I refuse to do that on principle.
