what DOESNT your iPhone do well?

Actually I have Air Sharing that has that functionality (Wi-fi file sharing) with an added ability to upload to Dropbox, but like I mentioned its paying for all this workarounds to try and make my device do something that we been doing for years. Hell Windows Mobile Could do this back in 2005. Pity Microsoft broke that with Mobile 7.

Problem is that I tend to take photo's and sometimes add customers documents with my xls/doc files in one folder and have the option to attach all of this or even one or 2 of the items to an email that I send off. If the customer has Wi-fi I can share the folder or if they dont a normal USB cable allows me to copy it off for them.

Thanx for the help though.

@ Kingrob...
Only problem is with Desire is that you have to root it to install more than 1gig apps on it,that SUCKS bigtime!!!

Transfer files?

You had to use iTunes the last time I checked.

This is why I'm getiing rid of my IPod Touch 4G - Bluetooth doesn't work, all file transfers are an absolute pain, I refuse to use iTunes to put music on it, so no music, many Apps have been crippled by Apple.

Oh, and iTunes has lost my backups and Apps a few times, must be the worst software ever produced.

No wonder the cracked version is called a JAILBREAK !!! But I don't want to have to rely on cracked software.

So I have ordered a Motorola Xoom. Will play with that and see how good/bad Android really is.

The Apple straitjacket is just not my scene.

Seriously? Of course you had to use iTunes! I find iTunes to be great. Sure it's not perfect but it's not horrible like Samsung KIES or anything like that. The App Store also works really well and seamlessly, compared to Android Market. Just buy a voucher and boom.

I love my little iPod touch 4g - it's like an iPad nano.

my iPhone 4 doesn't download malware from the app store at all. it seems only android phones can do this. bummer!

Okay I have a Samsung Galaxy S and I will agree with you on the KIES part, but the difference is I don't need KIES to do anything. I just plug in my phone to add remove stuff from it and I can just set up a normal dial up connection to tether. The only thing I need is to sync OUTLOOK with my phone Calendar and there probably is an alternative for this, I just haven't looked as I don't use it that often.

I just use an app on my work laptop to sync outlook with the google calendar. Probably not the best way to do things, but sufficient for my needs.

On the Apple market security: The stricter controls on the Apple market doesn't guarantee security, but it could raise the bar of entry. That also increases the chance of there being rogue apps out there that have not yet been detected be. The overall impact of these rogue apps sounded rather insignificant from the little I've read.

Overall I prefer having choices, whether that is hardware or software. Apple does not give that freedom. Their hardware and software is good, but one size does not fit all.

Same here. Can't remember the last time I used HTC Sync.

I just treat my SD card as one nice big USB drive. Delicious.
