The national energy regulator (Nersa) expects to know by the end of the week whether Eskom wants a total review of Nersa’s earlier decision to grant Eskom an 8% annual tariff increase for the five years from 2013/14 to 2017/18 (MYPD3).

I bring to your attention the Article dated 09 June 2016 published on

Having read this article it leaves a lot to be desired as to why we even have Tariff increases when Eskom can easily afford to finance and Fund Oakbay Resources with higher tariffs thereby disadvantaging the South african consumer.

Eskom needs to be more well financially managed and run as an efficient State entity not by handouts from price increases from the Public each time the Corruption bus comes along.

Any future increases should be declined accordingly.
