Hi there
I have completed the Prophecies expansion/episode.

What will you suggest should I pick up for the next episode/expansion for guild wars.

Thank You

All of them! :D

But if you want, this is how I did it in order:

Prophecies
Nightfall
EoTN
Factions

I am getting the complete collection. Do I install, for instance, Prophecies first and finish that? Or can I install them all? Will it give me an option as to which one I want to start with?

Well at this stage I think if you have the collectors edition all get installed at once. All the expansions flow in each other and you wont really notice when you are in one and not in the other.

Why I ask is cause I have the collectors edition and some of my guild mates dont.

So I want to know which one will be more fun and the period longer to play.
We have completed Prophecies thus we want to continue but I know some of the expansions are shorter than other.

Install them all, but play prophecies first. Trusts me, it is the best route to go for a good learning curve.

Well, I am a veteran GW player and played the campaigns as they came out... so, I would naturally suggest the same route, especially seeing you did Prophecies first anyway, which is the longest to complete than the rest of the campaigns (especially if you're playing the whole campaign and the side-quests).
So, this means next in line would be Factions, then Nightfall and then Eye of the North.

This path also falls nicely in with the path of the storyline, if you care about it at all (the storyline is one of the great things of the whole GW franchise imo!).

No, when you install, it installs everything (all campaigns), since you only get one license key.

The way you choose between the campaigns is when you create a character, right at the beginning and when you choose between PvE (role-playing) or PvP (person-versus-person) and then the campaign you want the char to be from.

Then you will start in that campaigns starting area with your character, if it is PvE.
PvP chars start in Great Temple of Balthazar.

You can see on the char-selection screen (after login) where your char is from.

I prefered to do Nightfall as soon as possible as this gives you heroes which are 100000 times better than henchies.

But get all of them and enjoy :D

+1 I started with Factions.... Not that it was bad or anything but I was really coffuzzeled for a while:p

I did Factions (then realised it would be easier to start with prophecies)
so I started prophecies
then Nightfall:)

Pre-searing actually has the coolest intro to Guild Wars ... especially the party thing where you're limited to 2. As well as the changing scenery, giving you a glimpse of what's to come.

Although I don't hang out there any more Pre seemed seriously cool
The one outpost there they do story telling on Saturday nights :D
I spent one Saturday night just sitting there reading these peoples stories, some where "rl" stories and adventures and others where made up.
Might just make another charr up to go see them again :)

I started with NF and I must say I had no idea what a balanced build was :o

Had a build on a derv that pumped out 400 dmg in 3-4 secs buuuut it dies pretty quickly :p

All the campaigns are great imo, but with nightfall you get the dervish and paragon and all their skills :D
