Definitely feels slow, especially starting off.
Wearing the heavy armor, heavy sword and shield - very bulky and slow, definitely going for realism there.
I struggled with Melee combat a lot at first and had to repeatedly do the training with the Knight to work it out
- that said, a good bow was my best friend.
Handy tip to make gold on the sly when a bit further along:
Hunt some wild game when there's no one else around (Can be slow and cumbersome) rabbit and deer especially.
Cook it (Henry will add his own secret sauce) and sell it where you can - especially someone with a lot of coin. They won't know it's wild game once it has been cooked.
You'll identify along the way a few vendors who's got lots of cash (and replenish their cash by reselling your meats), and can keep going back to them.
Take note that meat doesn't last that long as Henry's horse is no fridge. So best make your way with the meat without delaying too long, else the value goes down drastically.
