What graphics card do you use?

Using the GTX460 and there is still alot of FPS spikes in highly crowded places, thats just normal.

Nvidia 9600GT with 512Mb RAM

I get around 50FPS in Dala.

PC specs are also factors in FPS. Noticed this when I upgraded my mobo, CPU and RAM.

ATI 5850 HD 1gig
4 gig ram
E6800 dual core processor,
get above 40fps in 25 man raids with that setup :)

Sapphire HD4890 1GB - Dalaran 11+ with the odd drop to 6 (settings on Ultra). Everywhere else .. 30+
Q8200
4 Gigs crap ram.

512MB 9800GT....works a lot better than my previous 8800GT 256MB although it's technically the same card. get between 50 and 60 fps in Dala. I do notice that my fps has improved quite a lot since the last batch of MASSIVE patches.

8600GT 128mb ... old tech card and I DC from heavy spell damage fights. Otherwise it's ok I suppose. :/

Ati Radeon HD 5870
Will probably run in crossfire in future when the price of the card comes down

GTX 295, had many problems with SLI & WOW even though with a downgrade of drivers i get a solid 70-140 fps, want to go back to 5870. anyone wanna buy mine for R2500 ? :p

ATI 4670 512mb. Runs fine with everything on Ultra besides shadows set to medium. 25 man raids drop to roughly 15fps and Dala roughly 20fps depends how busy it is. :)

Asus GTS250 Dark knight top edition .. run everything on ultra shadows on medium. and i get from 65 (in dala) and while questing about 92 fps

I look at some of these cards the WoW players have on their machines and I feel like slapping them against the head ....

Let's be honest if you play WoW you hardly ever play anything else. And to have SLI setups and GTX 460 cards and what not... I mean seriously.

It's like taking a bazooka to go rabbit hunting :D

To be honest Pitbull, the vid card is but one core component to a pleasant wow experience. For me its a combo between the amount of ram, power of the vid card and most importantly, bootup speeds, loading times, and general disk performance.
A fast drive / drives is by far the best money I spent on my pc. But yes I agree, running GTX4XX series cards in SLI for wow is beyond overkill :-p
