Yes sand_man. I meant no 6-pin power connectors are required when I said "external power source".
That HD 6670 that you gave a link for does not require a 6-pin power connector. You can check it for yourself by going to http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1160&pid=1472&psn=&lid=1&leg=0 and then clicking on System Requirements.

Can't you do as Ponder said, and attach an aftermarket cooler on your GT220? It would most definitely be the cheapest option.
Like a friend of mine simply used a glue gun to stick an 60 or 80mm case fan on his GeForce 6800 LE, and it worked pretty well!
