What has happened to GoMail ?

Did anyone hear what happened to GoMail? A friend of mine who has been using them for 9 years could not get her email over the last few days. Rumour has it that they gone into liquidation.
Any truth to this?

They were closed by Telkom . As there Diginet lease expired and Telkom messed up there Diginet line 's contact and renewal . They did not have a VANS license and waited for ICASA who is useless at times so were unable to sell there own bandwidth legally . The dial - up were linked to circuit number on Diginet line which allowed them to sell the dial - up 's and Telkom basically closed them due to incompetence . They were not liquidated and moved most of the customers to Atlantic as the deal they tried to make with Syrex intranets to take them over turned sour at the last minute and Syrex pulling out of the deal , they still own the Gomail domain ,(I think ) and still have all your friend's email . Or then access to it as they still have the Gomail server , and if your friend has a website they should contact ACL as they took over the old web server or if she would like her email .
