I have a 100Gb softcap account with 20mbps fibre. I get the 20mbps and 10 mbps up on local speedtests normal pings most of the times around 6-8ms

But it is painful to use! Its been happening on and off for couple months, you have to reload pages 3-4 times before it will load. Youtube is slow on some videos on the mobile app and on PC for couple minutes generally then you try again and suddenly it loads immediately. Whatsapps even get stuck from time to time to send out especially.

On certain occasions even a local site such as Mybroadband doesnt want to load, but netflix has been trouble free?
Internal network working perfectly did file transfers and even accessed local device pages at the same time outside pages would refuse to load.

Like I said this has been on and off for a long time lasting weeks sometimes where it would work really well and suddenly fall over again?

Anyone else getting the same on these accounts DSL or Fibre?

I had something similar a while ago, not sure if it is exactly the same issue, but I changed my DNS to the Google ones and it has been a lot better. I know some Netflix apps used to have the DNS hard coded, this may be why you don't have problems with Netflix.

Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

Hopefully it is the same issue.

Tried now to run the google dns for an hour or so. Zero improvement pages still dont load sometimes. Generally extremely slow loading times.

I have this sort of thing happening on Axxess capped. During the week it's generally okay but then, like clockwork, Fri/Sat/Sun evenings it all goes pear shaped. From working perfectly to "Resolving host..." "no internet connection..."

My line will be up with solid stats but the connection is either completely dead or 75%+ packet loss. If I reset the connection, sometimes it'll work for a few minutes and then die again and sometimes it just comes right. I had been using primary DNS: 8.8.8.8 and secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4 and when this **** started again last night I set DNS to auto. What's strange is that I see it's now using 8.8.4.4. I've tried disabling wifi and all other connections to ensure that nothing is maxing out the connection in the background - to no avail. Often times if I'm on say, youtube, the stream will continue but thumbnails and comments won't load which leads me to think it is indeed a DNS issue? Then again, other times nothing loads.

I have no idea what's going on but it's extremely frustrating.
