2 Q's that i do not know.

1. On a PSU there is a power cable, that i have never used or seen used anywhere, its white very flat and has ~8 pins? What is it for?

2. I have a connector on the back of my mb, looks like a RCA plug, what is it for? MB is a K8N Neo2-FX, but on their website you cant see it.

Edit:

I think the rca on the back of the mb might be 1 x Coaxial SPDIF out. Is that not the same as the optic fibre output which is also on the mb?

1 : There are certain daughtercards and add-on cards that require their own power supply - this is for them.

2 : Have no idea since you get the weirdest connectors and things from mobo manufacturers....

coaxial SPDIF looks very much like normal RCA, usually it is black, optical SPDIF looks square.

you can use plain RCA cable for coaxial connection, some cards even use the same port to output coaxial SPDIF and normal audio, you choose which one from the software

Yes that is the one i was talking about, i wanted to cut it off, but then i saw a oldish psu that did not have it on, so i thought let me rather find out than just cutting it off, cause my case is a mess with all the cables, and i used black electrical tape to tape the cables, looks better than it did, but still looks very sheet.
