Matter is clearly complex

We can only describe some parts of it(the observable parts)

The complexity of matter had to come from somewhere, it would be absurd to argue that it just
happened that way and all the mechanism at work just came to be.

The mechanisms at work in matter functions in perfect synergy, with one mechanism missing it would fall apart, the complexity of this perfect system could by no means arise by chance

Where does these complex mechanism at work come from?

The human mind cannot comprehend the fact that matter has always existed (if that is in fact true) because we believe that something has to come from somewhere. The same can be said about where matter came from if in fact it didn't always exist as matter is everything and for it not to have existed means that there was nothing. How could nothing exist, and what would have caused matter to come into existence?

To those religious folks who might argue that God created matter, I argue that God would be made of matter regardless of what form he is because matter is anything and everything.

*strolls out casually*

ok so how did it come to existence from a scientific view point?

do you think the soul and spirit is matter?

It came into existence during the big bang. Why is matter like it is? The best answer we scientists have is that our universe works not because of design but because there are/could be millions of other universes with different physics, and some/all of those other ones failed. And its only because our universe has the correct conditions that we are able to ask the question, "Why are things like they are?"

Similar to evolution really. Its only because our environment favoured certain changes to us that we are like we are, and can then ask, "Why are we like we are?". Nothing to do with design.

I'm out of this though. Pass the popcorn please ChilliGirl.

sorry to say but that the most absurd reasoning ive heard this year, clearly you didnt read what i said in the first post

1. I don't know how it came into existence. If anyone knew that it would be a major breakthrough in science and could/would most likely disprove all religion.

2. Yes, just as thoughts are matter, I believe the soul and spirit are too.

and if science proves it has intelligent design to it?

and if science proves it has intelligent design to it?

If that comes to pass, then it means there is intelligent design to it until such evidence arises contrary to it. And concerning souls, do u mind providing a soul so it can be studied?

Science isnt about disproving spiritual entities, its about studying observable phenomena and trying to understand its framework. Up until these spiritual entities can be observed, science is mum on the subject. As such if you really want to investigate intelligent design try to find phenomena that supports it, but dont accept it as the truth before the fact, this only breeds ignorance.

What a loaded thread.
I get very concerned when Natural Sciences Threads have the words "spirit" or "soul" mentioned in it along with words like "scientific".

just because science dont have the means to study souls/spirits, does that disprove the existence of it?

yes but you wont get concerned if they have sightings of ufos in it

Why?

What do you know about the anthropic principle? Or theories about alternative universes, or why our universe is like it is?

Let me guess, you know NOTHING, you havent even bothered reading up on it, but for some reason you feel qualified to say GOD DID IT.

So tell me, why should I read your posts when you have zero understanding of your intended subject matter?

I'll have butter flavour, thanks ChilliGirl.

im merely proving your beliefs have a serious lack in imformation

I see that your drivel and inanities extend to the Natural Sciences now?
Your comprehension of the things you are attempting to "discuss" whether it be evolution or matter is clearly out of your depth.
You do not even understand or even attempt to understand what you are posting about.

I have no qualms with someone asking questions in order to learn something but you clearly have no inclination of that sort.
I find it rather disgusting that you even assume that we are that stupid as not to see through your charade.

It is "beliefs".
The word "believes" has no relevance in the Natural Sciences Section and you have proven yourself as nothing but a poster with too much time on your hands and not enough intelligence to even spell properly.

you believe blindly, if someone wanted me to believe in your ways there had to be prove of some sort.

yet your lack in explaining important questions is frustrating
