What is matter?

It is "beliefs".
The word "believes" has no relevance in the Natural Sciences Section and you have proven yourself as nothing but a poster with too much time on your hands and not enough intelligence to even spell properly.

ive edited it for you

im merely proving your beliefs have a serious lack in imformation

In English please, what do you mean?

You cant write english, dont understand science, dont want to learn science, and yet you want to tell us how matter is formed? And you dont see anything wrong with this?

just because science dont have the means to study souls/spirits, does that disprove the existence of it?

Sigh dude. I said science is mum on the subject on anything it cannot prove or disprove.

I've not seen any prior threads or posts by THEX but I'm getting the impression he/she is full of it ;P

Ok I will try to improve my grammar and English and learn science.

What im trying to prove is the following:

Science does not have the answers to everything

In this exercise I was showing how science does not have the ability to answer where matter gets its functioning complex nature

And religion can answer that? lol!

Actually yes it can, but it starts with faith, which you dont want to open up to

Would you categorically state that whatever the bible says is true?

Heck why am i even trying, mods please move this thread to PD

So what you're saying is that, in essence, faith can answer "where matter gets its functioning complex nature". But faith is believing in something that can't be proven. So who's to say faith is right if it can't be proven?

This is actually a very pointless thread. It's gone into the direction of religion which is totally off course in what's supposed to be Natural Sciences. Religion and science don't mix. Science is about proof. Religion is about believing in something that can't be proven. People used to believe the earth was flat. They also believed the earth was the center of the universe. Both of which were proven wrong by science. There will come a day when science proves religion wrong, because religion has no basis on which it can prove itself.

You want to use your faith as a measure of comfort and complacency?

Are you so troubled by acknowledging scientific truths, that you can not use your own judgment to qualify or disqualify it?

If you truly have faith--you're not supposed to understand it--no explanation is necessary--you just have it :)

Hmmm the natural sciences section has another one of those religion versus science debates? Could that please be refrained in futuer and rather referred to the PD section?

But my view point is that God is not an entity as defined by the Bible. God does not have a gender, race, creed, belief system and is not a being. God can be veiwed as an energy that resonates throughout the universe and could possibly pose as an explanation of what holds the universe together as a sort of an explanation of what keeps the universe from falling apart for the ancients.

Concerning the human soul it is not matter as it is an abstract concept that acts an explanation for why we have a conscience, emotions, ambitions and dreams. It is sort of like an energy that inerlinks us with the rest of the universe.

Inevitably there is no true definition for matter. Only that it includes EVERYTHING. It's here, It's been here since the beginning of time and even before that, apparently and the truth is that it is here to stay

you believe blindly, if someone wanted me to believe in your ways there had to be prove of some sort.

yet your lack in explaining important questions is frustrating

The very definition of irony...

I think the concept is lost on some.

Popcorn?

Ta, I just waded through the entire Dr. Eastman thread and I'm famished. Should have left the Charles Darwin>atheism thread for last, I need the comic relief after the Eastman thread. Thread read order FAIL...
