What is on your Xmas menu?

Christmas eve will be at the English parents home so Turkey, roast potato, veg and triffle. Christmas day will be "by my skoonmense" so mouthwatering skaapboud, hoener, veggies, slaai, and several puddings. I get the best of both worlds.

Turkey however is a very dry meat, kinda getting over it. It should not require that much gravy to make it palatable.

Gammon, Beef tongue, various gelatine salads.

Just me and the wife.
So it's a nice Porra prawn braai on the cards.

Not doing the whole Christmas lunch this year.

xmas lunch at my place with parents and brother, his wife and my bf. Gonna have mince balls and baked goodies that my mom makes. After that directly to my bf's father's house for a braai

Hmmmmm, 20Kg Hantam lamb arrived, all the way from Calvinia. Quality meat, neatly packaged. Christmas is going to be good.

Would have that over the 'traditional' stuff any day. Had loads of prawns & snails one year at friends place, both done on a skottel.

Busy day today. Made ice cream this morning for tomorrow, shot the protea practice, rushed home and cooked the meats for tonight.
