what is the big advantage with IOS over Android?

fair enough, if you want something that works out the box, with no "tinkering" or messing around or changing anything.

my issue with it, is that yes some apps work well on it, and due to "end to end" control a lot of things can be optimized more thoroughly.

what I have learned is yes there are compelling arguments for both sides, and maybe I have yet to see the actual benefits,
with my limited time on IOS, and maybe with time I might suddenly see its major benefits.

Im not holding out hope though, I still think its expensive, locked to anything regarding customization related, and cant be repaired very easily or cheaply.
so In many major respects its the simplified version of android,

if that is what you need it to do, then great, myself, and many others cant really buy the case to buy one over an equivalent android device.
I constantly ask myself, what is IOS "killer app"

There is no killer app and most people don't want to tinker.

And simpler is always better if it meets most people's needs.

I only have one friend that does things that needs his android rooted.

Most just get their phone, install their core apps and games and continue with their lives.

95% of my app usage is on 4 apps.

You can already see the benefits, it is just not the benefits you want. And there is no problem with that.

Edit: the killer feature for me is I don't have to tinker to get the newest update on launch day if I want it.

It's fine if you don't see its benefits, or if iOS holds no attraction to you. You're welcome to prefer Android, and I'm glad that there is an OS out there that fulfills your needs. And by all means - if you find a "killer app" that works great for you, post about it and tell us. Unfortunately both iOS and Android have a few idiot followers, so you'll find iOS users who'll try to bash you for liking Android. But I think that most of the forum users here are savvy enough to appreciate the worth of an infomative Android post, even those of us who use iOS.
