what is the big advantage with IOS over Android?

Oh forgot to mention that I am doing all this with my LG G4 stylus a low mid range phone of R3500 with 1gb of Ram 8gb internal storage expanded to 64gb .

Your "excitement" is weird and ultimately my frustration.

The day a phone excites me I would start to worry.
 
I was the original Android fanboy, I imported a G1 when it was first release which was way before most people even knew what it was.
Had flagship android phones for many years after that, went across to the iphone 3G for about a year before getting bored and going back to android.
A year long fling with windows phone 8.1(which is surprisingly good) and then got the iphone 6 when it came out.

Honestly there isnt anything that will get me back to android, you realize this when you get used to ios.
Basically android users find ios backwards and ios users find android backward when switching.

The main difference is an ios device runs as well from the day you buy it until the day you retire it, the same definitely cant be said for android. Yes you can put on custom roms and change the icons to my little pony if you want on android but that all gets old really quickly and some people couldnt be bothered fiddling to make their phones work well.
Oh that custom rom has crappy wifi reception?
Kernel drivers are not quite perfect?
Overclocking built in but causing longer term damage?
It all gets old very quickly.

Dont get me wrong ios is not perfect but its a lot better than android.

They make really decent brass instruments as well - I would love to have a Yamaha double French horn! :p

What I don't get about threads like these are people who can't accept that someone else might like something that they don't like. I like iOS. So what? I'm not trying to force anyone to switch to iOS, and I'm not downplaying or discarding Android's strenghts. I acknowledge iOS's limitations, but knew about them before I took up the phone. I evaluated whether iOS will work for me before I took an iOS phone, and realized that the limitations to iOS are not going to bother me. You're welcome not to like iOS, but a few people here are trying to stuff their "phone-religion" down your throat.

Spoken like a true man. That's what I 've been trying to say all along. Each platform has pros and cons. For some people iOS has more pros than cons for others the other way around. It doesn't change one major fact though. They are all smartphones that do their jobs. And like anything else in life what you pay is what you get. I disagree with the original post in major point though. That Apple is expensive. I just don't see Apple as being more expensive in comparison to an equivilant Samsung device or Lumia or HTC. On the contrary I would say they might be even cheaper in the long run given that they still support devices from 5 years ago. So let's say an iPhone 5 is still supported by Apple where a samsung's S4 support has been long gone. Me as user I would had upgraded the S4 cause I don't like staying behind. But my loyal iPhone 4s (RIP) was still at work until last year 4 whole good years of service with no complaints. One battery change in my local shop for R300 and that was all it asked for till the day my daughter decided to use it like a freesby. It died updated to the latest iOS and sure performance wise wasn't too notch like iPhone 6 at the time but it did what it was supposed to.

It's the insinuation that you are somehow less technical or "stupid" for choosing iOS that I can't stand.

I simply have better things to do with my time than tinker.

It's also like everyone who "tinkers" isn't simply following word for word instructions they found on the internet.

You aren't special.

fair enough, if you want something that works out the box, with no "tinkering" or messing around or changing anything.

my issue with it, is that yes some apps work well on it, and due to "end to end" control a lot of things can be optimized more thoroughly.

what I have learned is yes there are compelling arguments for both sides, and maybe I have yet to see the actual benefits,
with my limited time on IOS, and maybe with time I might suddenly see its major benefits.

Im not holding out hope though, I still think its expensive, locked to anything regarding customization related, and cant be repaired very easily or cheaply.
so In many major respects its the simplified version of android,

if that is what you need it to do, then great, myself, and many others cant really buy the case to buy one over an equivalent android device.

for android, depending on what you need, there are dozens, of specialized devices that one can build or buy.
for an example, you can get a replacement radio fitted to your car, with a TV screen and media server and navigation system.

Now you are talking about something completely different.

Yes you do get Apple Car Play systems but it's not quite the same.
