Hey guys,

I'm currently using MWeb uncapped premium account 1mbps, and I only download about 50~60 gigs a month.

I'm tried emailing MWeb's sales dept to see if I really need to be paying for premium and they seemed have been quite useless at this.

So my question is would it be better do get 2mbps regular uncapped or stick with 1mbps premium uncapped given my usage is consistently 50~60 gig a month? Since both are the same price.

regards,
scotty

I'm no expert, but I joined Mweb at the start of Feb on a 2mbps standard account. I'm currently on 64GB for the month and I am being throttled already. I was under the impression (from what the salesperson told me) that as long as you keep it under 70GB for the month you'd be ok - apparently not

I upgraded from 1mbps premium to 2mbps standard last month (for the same price). The sales representative told me that, on the premium account, I would be throttled at "say 100GB", but on the standard product I will be throttled at "say 70GB". Since I have never used more than 70GB, the representative confirmed that the "downgrade" made sense.

Ok, so exactly the same situation as me. That's awesome, I'll downgrade to the 2mbps then.

Thanks :)
