Maybe I was!Truth be told, I looked crap without a beard when I was younger. I've kind of grown into my face and now I can walk around without the beard and it looks normal. A few years ago, it didn't. Perhaps that's why older guys shave?

I prefer them to have hair on their heads
I started going bald when I was 21, so rather than look like an idjit with a balding pony, I opted to shave. If I could grow my hair, I would. Unfortunately, life doesn't deal everyone the same hand. On the flipside, I was gifted with a glorious beard while most guys can't grown a decent chin pony.

There's a marked lack of facial hair on your lower lip and upper cheeks.
I grew a beard a few years back out of laziness and when I shaved it off, the missus gave me huge bat. Besides, I couldn't get used to seeing my naked face. I bought a professional beard trimmer and it never coming off again. Trimmed and nothing more.

I'm sporting a full beard at the moment.
Trimmed short on the sides and my moustache ... but growing to horizontal pointy tip in front of my chin.
