What is Uninet like as I see they have unlimited caps?

I used to use them a year or so ago and speeds were excellent on the 256 package. A mate used them as well and said that torrent speeds were 100% full speed. No idea about now though.

They weren't bad at all - but unlimited downloads isn't unlimited downloads - they called the abovementioned friend one month when he did just over 15GB and asked him to take it a bit easier.

That sounds like nonsense.
I've been on Uninet for 1yr. I'm on the 256kbps package.
I average 2.4gigs a day and approx. 72 gigs a month.
Neva been told to take it easy.
I do however have problems with torrent support.

Wow

I am also on the Uninet 256k package and I find it hard to believe that you can download 2,5gig a day, please show me how. On avg http downloads are
20-30KB but Torrents are none existent, unless Im using the wrong client.

With that said I think its a small sacrifice for a great service, considering what I was exposed to before (check sig)

30kbs x 60 seconds x 60 min x 24hrs in a day = 2592000 = 2.592 gigs.
I avg about 2.4, because I use a dl manager. If the site you're downloading from allows it, you can open more than one connection to that site (if it doesn't, using multiple proxies works too) hereby maxing out my downloads. Another plus about download accelerators is the fact that you can download from multiple, different sites at the same time.
I prefer using Flashget (it has multi-proxy support) and Internet Download Manager.

My problem is with torrents. I am a member of a local torrent site. My download speeds are excellent, but my upload speeds are minimal to non-existant. Obviously if I can't upload, I will eventually be ejected by aforesaid torrent site because of a bad download/upload ratio. Anyone able to help me with this one?
