Since yesterday my internet is slower than Dial Up and no one seems to answer their phones. Called them the whole day and no one is answering... phoned after hours and I was on hold from the automated service for 8 min and decided to put down.

I can't download anything and opening a local site takes forever...

Im on a 384 account with 4mb after hours. It is the express + account.

UPDATE:

So I finally got hold of a Techie and now he is telling me that im being shaped by IS. Im in the top 20% of downloaders... now that is all good and well but how the HELL can they shape me so that im getting 6KB/s... im not even exaggerating... where I use to get 400KB/s after hours i am now getting 6kb/s MAX... for the last 3 days....

Can anyone explain to me how the shaping can be so severe that I can't even open up a local site in less than 20 seconds.

Please tell me that other shaped people aren't experiencing the same terrible slow speed.

I called them twice yesterday and they picked up within a minute...

Started the 4mb uncapped account today and its flying... no problems my side.
 
Using their uncapped (R500 pm jobbie) and the last 2 days have been piss poor. Usenet hasn't been above 50kB/s and speedtest at 11pm is 16kB/s http://www.speedtest.net/result/936925494.png

I really don't mind shaping but this really taking things a little to far.

By last night i am assuming you where referring to 31st, It was not only isolated to Axxess, webafrica was also performing poorly with pings worse than axxess. Webafrica cant resolve it. Its been a constant problem with them for weeks. And its very periodic

IS International Connectivity Issue (UPDATE)
IS technician has agreed that there is an international connectivity issue and they are busy investigating. Once we have more info on the situation we will update.

I have an Axxess Uncapped 384 account. I am at my wits end with this account - the shaping is hysterical and it varies all the time. I need 20 - 30 gigs a month can anyone recommend an alternative at about R200.00 pm?
 
Top 20% can only be bs they can tell you to shut you up. I know a guy thats already done over 100GB's this month ( 2 days ) and the line is still running at max

I did over 500G's last month and was not capped. The top users must be in the 800g's or even more on this account. And if you can believe Axxess - even higher :)
