What is Vista doing?

feo vista will index your drive everyday

it will use up system resources on a daily basis

turn that kuk off because why do you need your drive indexed anyhow

my system used between 5-15mb on the hdd for nearly a month until i could not take it anymore and googled

turning off indexing and superfetch stopped it luckily as i was about to load xp

nothing like having a quadcore 4 gig raptor raid setup and your pc runs like shyte cause of indexing
It takes about a week to 10 days, sometimes more to index a drive properly and many people have reported their OS a lot more snappy and responsive after it's complete. If you have a moderate system, just let it do it's thing for those few days, it's only gonna benefit you in the end.

So I can find my porn easier....
But seriously though, indexing sounds like a good idea, but it should happen once a week, not everyday, the contents of my hard drive doesn't change that drastically everyday.

As far as I understand it, the bulk of the index starts immediately after you first install Vista, it doesn't continue indefinitely.

feo your hard drive gets new files everyday, those new files need to be indexed

it will index crazy on your pc on restart and will randomly index throughout the day

its up to you guys but i find it highly annoying when your OS is using 5mb to write your hdd for indexing

also indexed computers run slowly

ivan i got a file called porno :), a true porn lover index's the porn themselves :)
