So I go with some a friend and meet some his friends 2 of which are identical twins, I took a fancy to one of them and try to flirt with her to no avail, later that night her twin sister flirts with me but I have zero interest in her for some reason I didn't find myself the least bit attracted to her. The only difference between these twins is the one I didn't find attractive is just a tiny bit heavier. Am I that shallow?
 
Nah you're fine. Some chaps just don't like chubby girls.
 
nothing wrong. attraction is a funny thing. and TBH I doubt she was a little bit more chubby, but she most likely dressed in a less revealing way leading you to spot the flaws in them both quicker.
chances are the next time you see them if they are dressed in reverse order as they were on the night you met them last you will probably find the one who you previously found less attractive to be more attractive again.

there was a set of twin girls in my high school and I never found them attractive. one casual day the one was wearing shorts and that was the point where I found her attractive. her sister was still not attractive to me.

I never acted on that though, and the next time when I saw them in uniform again I could not tell the difference...
 
I don't think you're shallow at all. Physical attraction is the number one law of the jungle when it come to the species and human beings are no different. It sounds like I'm the same as you. I like what I like and I won't settle just for the sake of being with someone. If it means I'm single for longer, so be it.

Actually he is being honest. Why invest time flirting with and leading someone on you're just not attracted to whether it be weight, skin colour or whatever?

Nope you aren't shallow. But you are dumb. A bright guy would have scored with both.

Bonus points if he did both at the same time of course.

Possibly a different set of standards apply? Inhibitions are often lower or non existent and there's no sense of obligation or commitment to someone. Besides, everyone can start to look hot after a few beers and brandy and cokes! :D
