What is your opinion......

Never ever been charged for take away containers, and I would be more than seriously miffed if someone tried and I wouldn't go back to the restaurant again.
 
Actually you don't need a bill for this.

Just send a message to the owner saying you noticed the R3 per container charge on your bill and won't be coming back because of that.
 
Strange that they would do that.It would annoy me too. Great value for money restaurant though.
 
In principle I'm not that surprised really and wouldn't make much of a fuss over R3.

But yeah, it's not the norm that's for sure.
 
They should inform you and give you the option of foil or container IMO.
