Working from office full time - It's my choice now, but will move to a hybrid model soon

Currently suffering from covid, working when the head clears and I have energy.

My work has a policy 3/5 days in the office, but that's currently suspended during Omicron.

Have to be in the office twice a week, but company wants everybody back in the office full time...

Looks like my company wants us back 3 days per week. That I can do, until the school run, and I'll work from home.

Working from home since early 2020. The best thing is I've got to spend more time with my family. There is much more to life than work.

Eating and affording a roof over your head? In South Africa your statement comes from a very privileged position and it's especially so if you're burdened with the responsibility to take care of that family you admire so much. I forced myself back into the office in early 2021 after wfh for a year and wouldn't bitch one bit simply because of responsibilities. We had departments shut down due to this lockdown nonsense and myself including the GM had to sit in and give people retrenchment options. The horrific situations we had to leave people in is unfathomable.

But continue saying there's more to life than work while many people are sitting without any work at all in SA. Ask them what they want in life.

Check your privilege.

Unemployed since Lockdown- Been looking for any work from Level 3. Lots of people after Lockdown with more to offer than I, the jobmarket is torture right now.
Our company has been on the lookout for staff. Mind popping me a message. Would gladly assist depending on your expertise.
