A client uses JIRA to track issues on their system. My boss has had to use it and is impressed with functionality, but not the price. We’re looking for a FLOSS alternative. My 2c: Now it’s a race between Eventum and Bugzilla. refs:
http://eventum.mysql.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page and
http://www.bugzilla.org/about/ which is better?
Or am I missing something that’s possibly more suited?
Have found these short-lists:
http://www.software-pointers.com/en-defecttracking-tools.html and
http://www.aptest.com/bugtrack.html .
The system will primarily be used internally, but the plan is to open it up and also allow external clients to log issues their web-sites (and other new media projects), upload brief-docs for new jobs, and track the progress/status of work instructions. Does anyone have suggestions?
