I am curious on the real world keyboards software developers use daily for their job.

Also if you don't use a separate keyboard but just your laptop's keyboard.

Mine needs a cleanup, so heres a stock pic:

I was getting chronic carpel tunnel until I got one. If/When it breaks, I will literally just buy the same model.

Coolermaster MK750 cherry brown, needed a new one for work as gifted my old Redragon K556 (also brown equivalent) to family after theirs broke and I stopped traveling as much.

And then a MS Designer Compact in the bag for travel, from work, wouldn't really recommend as dev as home/end button on function row, or you can choose to have F keys as function, which is also annoying as have keybinds on it.

And then, as in other thread, ordered a Logitech G915 tactile, that will be my new travel keyboard. If I like it enough, I'll maybe make it a main for apartment as well, since it has a swap between BT and dongle, will just keep dongle in device here.

I also used to have a Corsair K70, but got rid of it, wrist rest is too short to be of any use, keys also didn't feel stable. My friend loves it though, so might have gotten a bad one.

Also been looking at the steel series Apex Pro: https://steelseries.com/gaming-keyboards/apex-pro so part of their advertising is that you can adjust the actuation point on the fly: https://steelseries.com/blog/adjustable-mechanical-switches-104

And then at work I used to use a DasKeyboard 4 professional, hated it as had issues with the keycaps falling off if angle was bad on the insert or delete key, otherwise was generally a good keyboard, and the software is great if you get an RGB keyboard https://www.daskeyboard.com/technology/q-software/ (so can map certain e.g. e-mail incoming, CPU usage, or if PR).

One thing a friend did was get a TKL and then add a number pad, so was keyboard - mouse - numpad. Up to you, but generally I use a numpad a lot, so would slow me down not to have it.

Don't use a laptop keyboard as want 2/3 proper screens, laptop keyboard means laptop screen would be in center, so useless. My one laptop's keys are actually pretty good, would be fine typing in them, wouldn't get to full speed, but would be fine.
