What LCD to get?

Have been out of the market for too long so don't know what good LCDs are out there. So I'm planning to get 1 or 2 LCD's for dual setup. Will be used to play Diablo 3 or SC2 once it comes out, some work and movies occasionally. So would need something that doesn't lag when I watch all my porn :p when the wife is asleep. Budget isn't really a problem but if I go dual setup, don't want a freaking big screen that take up too much desk space.

So what you guys recommend? I'm in JHB so would prefer retailer in Gauteng area :D
 
Best bang for buck screens are the Samsung 2333SW (R2200ish, 23", 1920x1080 (full HD)) and the 2494HS (R2500ish, 23.6", 1920x1080 (full HD), built-in speakers).
 
Matte or Glossy?

T-series Samsungs are great if you don't mind matte.

Personally, I'd want something 1920x1200, glossy and good-looking (since you have to look at it all the time :p ).
 
+1 for the 2333SW if you near Durban you can get it for R1799 at PC zone.
 
Pinaccle Micro announced a special/price cut on the Samsung 2333SW monitor today - expect to see it for about R1800 retail.

I personally have the Samsung 2494hs and couldn't recommend it more. It's an amazing screen.

Dont you need to be a dealer to purchase from them?
 
Get dual apple cinema display 30" if you have an unlimited budget
 
in my view viewsonic in the best lcd to use as it dosent trouble us and the clarity is too good and support from the team is also better .

Budget wasen't the OP's issue. I have a T series and love it. Fitting two T260's on the average desk may be a struggle however.

I have the 2333SW and it is awesome! If I had to buy now I would get the T260.

Although the size would be awesome the associated GFX card that needs to run that baby for games would..:erm:....well require an "additional" input of funds:o
 
ya, but seems like T260 is pretty big. So seem the T240 look good but is 5ms panel vs T220 is a 2ms panel. So would I see any lag if I'm watching a dvix or dvd movie on this lcd screen? So if I get dual T240, it's going to be big already. T260 is definitely out of the question.
 
The whole 2ms thing is a bit of a sales trick IMO. The T240 will definitely not have any ghosting on movies.
