What LED Globe Brand?

Let me ask here as well.
1 year old downlights looks dim.
Are they just crap lights, is there any preferred brand that does not go dim?

Tried Eurolux,Osram and Sylvania,they are all GU10s.
For the last year the lights in the lounge flicker every so often and in 10 years never had this problem.
The lounge lights are on a dimmer.
I have changed the dimmer three times now and had an electrician come out twice and he can't solve the problem
Can anyone suggest what could cause this ?
Our bedroom has the same dimmer switch and in eleven years never had an issue with it.
Do all the lights flicker at the same time? Maybe it is a loose wire?

I have noticed the same thing at the office. One of the LEDs inside the bulb dies or the power output drops.

Maybe you should try the Aurora ICE down light, they claim to have a better thermal protection. I see you can buy it from Takealot.

It's the same as kilo's per litre on cars, you'll never get the advertised and nothing ever gets done about it.

To be fair the fuel economy figures are there for comparison between cars and not meant to be representative of the real world.

It's purely there to have a uniform standard as you can't really test in the real world with comparative results.

I guess it's by and large the same here, it gets tested in a lab so you can compare one brand/model to another, but I doubt there is a global standardisation in place.
