No "who cares" option available? :p

Bad communicaition. Although its probably so bad out there that making it an option would be redundant because its everywhere.

"Crap pay" should also be on the list above. Most of the programmer specific items are minor in comparison to not being appreciated (financially) for one's work.

The poll (if there even is one) doesn't show up in either portrait or landscape in Chrome on Android.

I guess that bring up one of the things that makes THIS programmer unhappy: incompetent devs and sloppy QA.

That's the coolest part

Not so cool when they say "Do something like that..." *client presents a paper with one mockup and no spec*

And then you try to figure out what the client wants. In a week or so, they ask on progress. You present a working prototype and gets rejected, because of reasons where not specified earlier. Client leaves you with one clue.

Return to problem solving, trying to work around the existing prototype (or worse, do it all over again). And then in the middle of week, the boss says it is not valid option, try a different technology (often, the one you never worked with, little known in professional environments and barely applicable to the problem).

The circle continues on. At least, I am not paying for my wasted time, client does. But money cannot buy stress and nerve recovery.

no option for "sales people".

sales guy: "does the brand new thundermax6000 work on our legacy program that hasn't been actively developed in the last 5 years?"
me: "no. and no plans to do that either"

*in french accent*
3 MONTHS LATER...

sales guy: "does the brand new thundermax6000 work on our legacy program that hasn't been actively developed in the last 5 years?"
me: "no. and no plans to do that either"
sales guy: "ohhhh... i just sold a customer R1000000 worth of thundermax6000 devices. how long will it take to make it work? it needs to be working by next month... so 2 weeks... hahaha!"
