Since about 20 July, I've been having problems with checking my usage; even though I used the internet, the usage tracker still showed 0 usage for each day. Since Monday, our ADSL has been off. This morning, it's back on. Now, suddenly, the usage tracker shows that from 1 to 5 August, I used nearly 5 Gigs ! This is totally wrong; is there any hope of doing something about this?

It would help if you mentioned what isp and package you were using.

Similiar problems here as well, also with Telkominternet

I'm having the same problem. I checked yesterday and I'd used 1.5GB's of data, I checked today it seems that I have gone back in time and have only used 700MB's of data.

Did Telkom upgrade me to 'So-Fast-It-Goes-Back-In-Time ADSL'?

So slow it goes in reverse? I dunno, but god, just now I'm either going to have no cap or I'm going to be hard-capped. XD

TelkomSA 512ADSL

Thanks for the replies. I'm on 512 TelkomADSL. I'm still at 4.1 Gig for the month, which is impossible. It even shows that I UPLOADED 700Megs on two consecutive days! So if I get capped due to this, is there anything I can do?

Not the answer I was looking for, obviously. But thank you for the effort.

Any serious advice?

Well, I checked my usage today and I'm on 2.7GB's. Ho-hum... tomorrow it might be 2mb's and the next day maybe 50GB's.... who knows... heh, nah, I think my 2.7gb's is accurate.

CJ, just make sure it's not a virus or anything wasting bandwidth. Other than that, you can try and log a complaint, but I don't think Telkom will care much. Also, maybe your username and password have been compromised? Time to change password?
