Because I like to build things myself? Or because the C language just preceded the last Lotus 7?

It will never also never go out of fashion, goes great with a beard and everybody secretly wish they had one.

All of the above :p

Currently I'm really enjoying Dart for a personal project but am most proficient in Java, my day job language, so enjoy it from the point of view of having a lot of experience with it. I use IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate
I love this IDE i really do, if the job didn't force Visual studio on us i would use it full time.

Yep, really makes my life easier and programming enjoyable. I pay for it myself as the company I work for uses Eclipse but it's worth it seeing I use it pretty much daily

I think when I am done with my current project I will switch back to it. I actually keep community addition handy for private projects and as you say it really is a million times better then Eclipse

I like JS, Python and Delphi.

Looking forward to trying out VB next year, since it seems similar to Delphi.

IDE... I guess, RAD Studio for Delphi? I don't know if VS Code counts, but that's my go-to for anything nowadays outside of Delphi.

Just choose any of the options and then use a Pointer from C in the comments. :p
Thank you when I do something like this again in a few months I will be sure to add C and a few others in it.

What I like about the Poll it gives a real time idea on what is being used. I am personally Java it is my main focus but I dabble in almost all the main languages just to stay in touch with reality. So in a few months it will be on top of this list :)

C# in Rider (VS is a mess)... I feel like .NET has typically had an unfair negative reputation just because of its affiliation with MS... its a very capable language nowadays (was it ever not capable?). Its also starting to look more functional these days.

I like using Python for the shorter, throw-away stuff.

C# is great, it's the developers that abuse the **** out of it and leave a verbose mess in their wake that give it a "bad name"

The best thing "pro" C# devs can do is be given another language/stack to code in, one they don't know well enough to code more than what's necessary.

C++ daily, Python and c# from time to time.
SlickEdit with BRIEF keyboard scheme, otherwise JetBrains apps.

I don't really "like" any programming language..... yet. Whatever the project requires, I'll use.

At the moment Java is paying the bills.
