What should I go for?

Right, at the end of the month I'm going to be getting Uncapped. Telkom can kiss my ..........

But now there is so many options. I want to know which I should go for? I usually finish my 3gig cap by Telskum by the 15th of the month and then use my local for downloads (usually about 15gig or less a month out of the 20gig) so I'd like to know what will best suite my needs. Only a 384kb line but would like to be able to download at 40k after hours and weekends like I can now. During the day I wont be using the net for downloads so it won't be a problem. Looking at 50gig a month of usage a month.

So, what are your opinions guys? I don't want to waist money on getting the wrong option. And I don't want to pay too much either.

either take a look at one of the uncapped providers, they ass seem to be running the same so pick your favourite brand, or otherwise take a look at the cybersmart 299 384k special. Details are on the front page of mybb or the thread under news

Ye, take your pick from one of the uncapped providers - You can read through the forum threads to get an idea of how the service is going but i say just take the plunge and sign up - its cheap and its month to month so you change if you not happy.

since you asked here--go for the Afrihost deal. and keep your line with telkom; they may be coming up with line upgrades soon (yah, right!).

Thanks guys. I am leaning towards Afrihost. But want to know if I have to keep my phone account or can I just pay Telkom the ADSL line and close my phone account?

mandatory with TELKOM: Phone rental (analogue)
TELKOM ADSL line rental: TELKOM or other ISP (like MWEB, Cybersmart, also known as all in one packages)
Optional with TELKOM: TelkomInternet (ISP, Do-x packages)

Replace the optional part with Afrihost as an ISP. Unless you move to MWEB (etc) and ask them to look after the ADSL line under your uncapped account.

Thanks, I don't really need the phone so it's a pity that Telkom force one to have it. I use my cell a hell of a lot more then the land line. Oh well.
