I've been issued infractions for the posts as well so evidently they now want me not only muzzled, but banned and unable to discuss these issues either.

Nothing in my posts is against the rules. I guess we're going to be forced to use our press offices elsewhere to directly "talk" to MyBB about this. We don't want a feud, and it's very simple to address and get over, but there is no intent on MyBB's part to do so and they still haven't responded to a single email we've sent them...

Its quite clear by now that there is an agenda against you, paul and crystal web and whether its self driven from within mybb or also given drive from the outside.

The SS is watching my posts with glee and has applied the hide-me-save-my-feelings from time to time.

Sadly it seems nothing has changes since the debbie, vodacom and banning orders indecent.

Option 6: delete any posts you don't agree with

Perhaps the very fist step is to inform the involved parties without the intent to publish first?

How would you feel if I come along and give you x-hours to respond and then BHAM mother ****er, I publish it and see how it goes from there.

Nothing learnt, you think?

i think you got that the wrong way around:
In the case of CW it was an easy process. They asked for 48 hours before we publish, and they acted quickly to inform their users. But we have no control over this process. What if a company is slow, or unresponsive?

They first gave CW less than 24 hours, while Shaun was at his SO's hospital bedside as she was admitted for a life-threatening condition.

We are looking at the future, not the past... I did not mention email messages exclusively. My preference would be an SMS to the contact number I gave them when applying for the service.

And this is what needs to be set up by all ISPs with all their customers. If there is a crisis regarding your account, what is your preferred means of contact?

I would also also prefer an SMS. I happened to find out about this from MyBB, as I hadn't checked the relevant email address in a couple days.

I wonder how to reconcile the stance of "we must protect the consumer at all costs" with the OpenWeb fluff articles?

Not to be a cold hearted bastard, but that's irrelevant.

ok, well for discussion purposes lets remove cw from the equation for the moment.

lets assume it was similar data related to vodacom or some other company - how long do feel any media outlet should wait after a leak appeared online, 24 hrs, 2 days, 3 days ?

Thank you. Texted the dude on duty now with the LIVE CHAT. Apparently all cool.
He sent me the letter they've forwarded to all their clients. I think they did a great job with a no nonsense approach. I like this CW.

Was your email address on that site? I'm curious to know as it may indicate when the data breach happened. When did you join?
