What size conduit for Openserve FTTH

Fiber runs directly from pole to your house. So generally each house will have a pole on their property or on a corner shared by the properties at the corner.

Also I am not sure if they need to listen to you when you say no. I believe they do not need the property owners consent.

Unless you like to scale electric fencing, Openserve has a lovely way of getting back at people who just refuse access.


These blockes refused Openserve (the top right is a park) so Openserve just covered around them. Now the people sold the land to Develop and well now Openserve refuses to connect stating (At capacity).
If you refuse then don't come crying to us on mybb why your net is slow.

if they do use the conduit ,which is 50\50…make sure they put it inside the pipe and dont strap it to the outside .

correct .openserve has a mandate for access to any properties servitude at any time for maintenance.meaning the last ,more or less metre from the boundary wall inside ,that you may not build on .enforced ,i dont think so ,any more

A friends building inspector had a fit because they wanted to build a stairway down the side of their property in the servitude. Of course this was Cape town .
