What Software

It works on version 6 and version 7, I thinks V6 still comes in the box tho.
 
Hi,

When you connect through the dashboard with your Novatel card, does it say connected at 234.0 kbps or 1.8mbps?

Mine says the 234 option but I am told by Vodacom Data Shop at Vodaworld that it is a Firmware problem and the card is in fact connecting at the higher speed.

@Bell407 : It connects at 230.4kb/s, v3g said it is a firmware bug but your card does indeed connect at the highest speed it can, mine downloads at about 90KB/s internationally. Check either the flashes on your card (should flash 3 times when on HSDPA and twice when on 3G) or your connection speed at a speed checking site (I forgot where to check :p )

Version 7 is available for download on www.vodacom4me.co.za...

It isn't very different tho, but the novatel u740 only works with V7.
