You do realize that supplements = supplementary to your diet

Jack3d micro, (Fish oil caps for O3), ON Whey Gold Standard 2 servings a day, I add a spoon of psylium husk, bran, ground flaxseed (linseed) to my shakes for more fiber

Thats a silly comment - he is "supplementing his diet with 4 eggs and 2l of milk" which is generally more than the average person would have per day

Roids. No side effects but random strangers at clubs and other public places keep tuning me k*k so I have to sort them out.

I'll teach you if you bump into me.

Creatine, 5g every morning with grape juice, first thing.
3x fish oil caps, 3x Vitamin D3 caps and a multi-v after breako
2x Evox Synergy Whey during the day
1x scoop pre-workout - NO rage (trying these again - lost faith a while ago)
1x post-workout smoothie (my own recipe - mostly fruits and whey)

Lol. How much did you gain? Some guy at gym was telling me that I can get massive size on that.

So far it is looking like whey protein from evox. Looking for 8-10kg. I was 7kg heavier before my op, so it should be hard but not too hard.

This debate is age old. It's not a stupid comment DrewChan. When you really ask the question what a supplement in bodybuilding there are 2-ish schools of thought

In school number 1 supplements are generally products manufactured or developed with the intent for consumers to use to better their health (this is the more broad overarching definition) - Most things fall into this category, whey, multi-vitamins, raw eggs, creatine.

In school number 2 supplements are generally low calorie products which have been manufactured with the goal to alter or improve some form of bodily function. creatine, cla, bcaas, etc fall into this category. You could say number 2 is a subset of number 1 but the philosophy and reasoning between the two schools of thought differ.

There is tonnes of literature on this discussion and to call my comment silly is rather silly in itself. What is a supplement I ask you?

When i say supplementary to your diet I was basically assuming school of thought number 2. I don't consider eggs and milk supplements since they are food substances and hold nutritional value which forms part of your diet instead of (ie is primary to your diet) instead of something else like creatine with is supplementary to your diet.

I said silly - not stupid - I was being nice.

I'm glad for their "schools of thought" but by English definition [which overrules body building circles]
sup·ple·ment (s p l -m nt). n. 1. Something added to complete a thing, make up for a deficiency

So if I am lacking protein I can "supplement" my diet with fish and chicken.

Whey protein is a mixture of globular proteins isolated from whey, the liquid material created as a by-product of cheese production.

Comes from a food source - how does this differ from "food"

I know I am being difficult but the debate is interesting
