Their "Cancel this Service" option DOESNT work.
They've billed and deducted my account already (I had credit) for recurring services that I WANT TO CANCEL BUT CAN'T...

WTF?

Did you hire a batch of new monkeys there did ya?

lol. On that note I know I'm keeping 2 accounts with you for next month if you're still up for it :)

Hi

I have forwarded your query to our ADSL Department. Thank you:)

...guess its still being looked at. Though i had to add another cancellation ticket for the service to get suspended.

why not phone them and tell them

i have cancelled a 2 gig account, they billed me i phoned them and they gave me a credit

its amazing what a phone call can do

seriously to come here and moan about this and that is pointless

USE THE PHONE :), its there for a reason

Well, wow. lets see here. I'm in Dubai? So why the HELL should I pay for THEIR mistakes?

I've referred over 60 customers to them and then suddenly some MONKEY breaks things to tarnish their reputaton?

I got a response on the ticket logged that they cannot refund me because the bandwidth was already used.

WELL CATCH A CLUE WEB AFRICA, YOU BILLED ME FOR NEXT MONTH.

Unless you guys know of a time machine I could use for the #$%$#^# bandwidth, I don't know what hey!

I thought that was the reason for this site.

You thought wrong, myadsl is not affiliated with WebAfrica or any ISP. Acid is just venting, but WebAfrica have their own forums and their own support channels, so posting the issue here is not going to get priority, I speak from experience ;)

Btw. WebAfrica rocked today for an issue I had, so all is not that bad ;)

Its just that I see a lot of threads complaining about iBurst not refunding money and other companies with billing errors.
I actually don't mind if people vent here because it exposes stuff that I may not have been aware of otherwise, like the fact even Web Africa can screw up every now and then.

...just pointing out that i have had logged this before

Hi

I sent you a private message. Please provide me with your details so that i may investigate into this matter.

I've only had fantastic service from WA but that is because I email their customer services directly. This month when my ADSL was down due to cable theft in the area, they had already deducted the money from my account but I just emailed them and asked for a refund because I won't get to use it, so they did and suspended my accound for the month for security purposes. Then I realised I wouldn't be able to use my account for a few months (no more series downloads :D) so once again the cancelled my account until such time I notify them.

Try it, even from Dubai... send an email

Sent an email. Logged 2 seperate queries on 2 seperate dates.

Trust me, I won't just post here as my first resort.... i mean wtf, check my signature?!

Just to add to this thread, the service cancel button does not work for me either. I had prepaid bandwidth which I used up (an account for shaped and another for unshaped). I wanted those accounts cancelled as I will be using my non-prepaid SAIX accounts, and the control panel would not let me. I e-mailed them, they responded very promptly confirming that I wanted the accounts cancelled (there was a little bit of bandwidth left in them) and I told them to go ahead... An hour after I had sent the mail, those accounts were cancelled. Still, they should either remove that button (since it does not work) or investigate and fix it.

I have a similar issue on my account for like three months already but I just sent a support message in whenever I wanted to cancel an account and it was done without 20 minutes.

Well, good on WA for job creation then, but I'm pretty sure the idea of the control panel for the clients were to improve efficiency in the call center/support center to not handle these types of queries all the time?

Anyway, I just find it annoying that I have to log a query for something I should be able to do myself PLUS the fact that their little invoice came in 5 days early and deducted my prized credit automatically (whereas their debit order system SHOULD run on the 1st)

Hi Guys,

We are aware that our online cancellation procedure needs some tweaking and will shortly be able to start reworking that aspect of our automation, our most sincere apologies for that.

As for the existing issues, if there are any still pending (I see WaVern already replied), please feel free to PM me the ticket numbers and I'll get the issues investigated.

i just e-mail support directly, don't even use the customer area most of the time, find it much quicker.
