If you went through the yellow robot which you allowed to do, you would have had your car, your neck would have been fine and the other guy would have his new BM.

What I find a bit questionable is, why did the police decided not to open a "reckless and/or negligent" driving against the other party??? Usually that's happening when there is not "prima facia" case! Can it be that you forgot to mention some details? Of course you don't have to tell us anything but this "non action" by the police, send a message to the civil courts! I agree with the other forumites - go see a doctor asap. You should have done that last week already! Why the delay? (the court would ask you that!)

That's a badger right there, I don't have an insurance...
Suicide, you really should consider it, its a very good option for people that do not have insurance.
A guy drove into the back of my car (at low speed) yesterday, guy got out, looked at damage to his car and drove away. I have a tow bar, no damage. Anyway, if he comes with a story at least my insurers will handle it.

Did you get his numberplate?...
Did you report the "accident"...
Technically he has broken the law by leaving the scene of an accident. (iirc)
Not being a dick, but did the driver actually check his rear mirror before just breaking ?
Normally any proper driver would not just turn because it's yellow to red and even at red light, but look first if the oncoming traffic actually is stopping. Imho don't drive on the road if you don't have insurance, rather pay that odd amount than not having it when it would have counted and your car is a write off...

Yes, my friend and I were dead calm, got out, helped push the other guys car out the road. I took pictures of both vehicles with the number plates... Got his number, got the witnesses number, calmed things down...
We reported the accident 30 minutes later. He reported it 12 hours later.
Is there something else we should have done?

@Ancalagon So you'd stop even if someone was about to drive into you ?
If the light is yellow there is enough time to passover IF you see you can't make it because some twat is ass****ing your car. Rather that than suffering injuries and maybe other things. I'm not talking running a red light here obviously...
@Mach III so clearly the fool wasn't looking. That's different.
Sorry what?
The robot was changing from Orange to Red... he was legally obliged to stop... if the moron behind him didn't stop its the morons fault, plain and simple.
My bad, I thought it was green to orange. If the light is already yellow.. I'm stopping. If the person behind me is driving too close and doesn't stop in time.. thats their fault not mine. I almost lost my brother to someone thinking it would be good to jump a robot.... I refuse to even contemplate it.
I've never said just go over red@Ancalagon So you'd stop even if someone was about to drive into you ?
