A large client of mine is rather peeved at present. He ordered ADSL through Telkom, but three weeks later when he called to find out when it would be installed he was told that his order had been cancelled due to there being no exchange close enough. When he asked how long it would take to get an exchange in the area he was told that they did not know nor was there a time frame.
They tried iBurst, but told them to shove it after a few weeks as it was not suitable for their application. They are a fair sized frim that needs 24/7 connectivity. They have approximately 20 terminals connected to their network and need to provide each with access. The owners of the factory would also like to connect to their security network (cameras) at any time to check on the running of each of the covered areas.
What other options are there for them? They have ISDN installed, but want, nay need, broadband.
