Hi All

Looking for some advice. I have about 20-30 HPE DL380 Gen7 and 8 not in use anymore. Obviously out of maintenance.

What are my options with them now? Looking to recoop some costs as I purchased them from a insurance selvedge organization for a business idea but things did not play out as planned.

Surely the disk, mmr and cpu's might still be worth something?

These are the servers discussed. Open to any offers?

Happy to take 1k per server or 15k for the lot.
Various specs of HPE DL320 / 360 and 380 Generation 6 to 8 available with different HHD, MMR and CPU'S.

Nobody will be able to offer you anything without knowing the detailed specs of each machine really.

I think you might be missing the boat with where I'm going with that.

Layout the specs a bit and you will possibly get more "bites" than if you just post a random photo of the servers.

I don't remember what generation the Gen 7 & 8 were from a hardware point of view, but if they were running basic Xeons with 4GB of memory, vs top end Xeons with 128GB of memory will attract very different people and appetites for spending their time.

+1

@BryanBP you're not going to get very far if you don't provide enough info for people to make a buying decision.

How often do you feel interested when a Car advert says contact me for pictures? or ecommerce website says add to quote instead of giving the damn price upfront.
If you want to sell something post what buyers want to see.

They got Windows server licenses?

At a high level if we can get the CPU (number and model), RAM and HDD sizes

WOW what a helpful bunch you all are. Contrary to popular believe, they have all been sold. Classic example of what is happening here in SA. Could really of been put different in a helpful manner and not feel attacked and trying to hamulate someone. Can we not build and help each other instead of breaking each other down. Anyway, I will leave this here and not respond any further.

Oh cool - good on ya for moving them so quick

I would use them for a testing environment , but they at least need to be able to support esxi6/7.

Like the Facebook posts where they reply "DM" to anybody asking for a price

You were offered advice how to sell to a more niche market, you then went defensive. That's a "you" problem
