I haven't played a decent game that's had me interrested for about 4 months. The last decent game I played that had me really involved was KOTOR I & II.

I like RPG'S and decent adventure games. I'm not adverse too a good RTS or FPS either. Basically something I can build on for enjoyment.

No recommendation for WOW please... I'm bitter enough as it is... :(

Give me some recommendations please.
Thanks.

It's not out yet, but oblivion is gonna own :P

Sacred:Underworld
Still Life
Farenheit
Good & Evil
Shadow of the Colossus (PS2)

thats all off my head... ;)

Thanks for the suggestion's so far... I'm thinking about getting Fable: the lost chapters and Sacred: Plus

quick clarification: I can't play any games that need broadband :( I'm a yound professional who earns really well for his age... but that doesn't mean I can afford broadband in this country.

Elder Scrolls Oblivion has gone gold and should be release around 20 March, though I don't know how long it will take to reach our shores.

If you like RTS games then deffinitly check out Battle for Middle Earth 2 when it comes out. Should be out soon. (although maybe only in April, not sure yet). Much better than age of empires which for some reason people think is cool,...but it doesnt compare to BFME.

Otherwise theres always Neverwinter Nights if you like RPG's. The best RPG ever made and I will have words with anyone who sais otherwise ;)

And Neverwinter Nights 2 is being made but no idea when it will be released. Im sure it will be ground breaking yet again.

ETA from BT Games is for 12th April in SA.

@Thisgeek - i want to spare the recruit from our bootcamp! :D

Yeah, Obilvion is your best bet.

But remember to save money for Total Annilation (spelling?) Supreme Commander - the ultimate RTS.

Supreme Commander has been delayed by THQ till 2007... :(

Back at varsity I played Civilization for most of my undergrad years.

By the time Civ 3 was launched, I had a job and a fiance, so my game time was reduced by 80%.

Last year I somehow convinced my fiance to get me a really 'cheap' Christmast gift (Civ 4):D , and it almost wrecked my wedding plans

So Bcm...if you're still single, have lots of time and enjoy strategy games...get the latest issue of Civilization

so true Kompete... so true. In my case Diablo 2 ruined one relationship but at least i got to keep my lvl 94 Hardcore Amazon. :D

Well I am married to a 1337 night elf on the EU server and we cyber all the time... Best marrage ever :D

If you like turn-based strategy games like Civilization then Galactic Civilizations 2 has just been released. The game can also be addictive. :)
I downloaded it but I don't think it has been released in SA yet.
