I am returning to SA in December for good after 11 years in the UK and was wondering how far we have come.
Are the WAN connection used still ISDN with Frame Relay or are there EFM, E1 solutions available?
Not trolling just really interested:)

What are the costs /year etc of your solution?

We have a 100Mb bearer with 20Mb connection from our head office to the MPLS cloud with a 10Mb internet link. Our remote sites have EFM 10Mb/2mb connection to the MPLS cloud

Our costs for the 100/20/10 link yearly is free installation £10440.00/annum for 2U rack space in the MPLS cloud, for our 2 ASA5520 Firewalls.

Our remote sites vary (due to distances) but for the EFM 10/2Mb average cost is £4583.00 p/yr and for the E1 2Mb circuits are cheaper at £2896.32/yr (all free installation)

Any good jobs out there for a CCNP R&S, VoIP and Securtiy guy with Business Analysist and Management expereince? What salary could I expect?

Too many questions - not enough time ! :)

I'm on 100 mbit (i'm only limited by my hardware), I pay almost nothing for it :) But I'm not a good measure of the average broadband connection in SA :p
