What would i pay for this laptop or a similar spec laptop locally ?

I bought an acer aspire 7520 last year for about $350 - went through hell 'upgrading' it from its native Vista to XP - so just a thought, make sure the thing has the OS you want on it to start with, rather than thinking that a simple format and reinstall will fix everything.
Also - a minor thought - crack the hood of yours when you get it, and see if there's space for a second physical HD, Acer don't always advertise this, but some of the models do have the space. Given the 500 -750 gig 2.5 drives out now, this can be kind of useful.

Look out for a Dell Latitude either the old D series or the new E series

Got XP 64 bit running on mine NO problem with DELL drivers ( got to scratch around a bit and know where to look )

Seen a few in the R6,000 -- R7,000 range -- some even with fingerprint reader.

They have a "modular-bay" where you can put in an extra HDD or Battery

Doesnt say what graphics card it has .
Even though its not a major issue , i would like to be able to play the odd game here and there on it .
